Importance of learning Aqeedah

What is Aqeedah?

Aqeedah refers to those matters which are believed in, with certainty and conviction, in one’s heart and soul. They are not tainted with any doubt or uncertainty. The Arabic word ‘aqeedah stems from the root ‘aqada, which conveys meanings of certainty, affirmation, confirmation, etc.

Praise be to Allaah. Fasting six days of Shawwaal after the obligatory fast of Ramadaan is Sunnah Mustahabbah. It is recommended for the Muslim to fast six days of Shawwaal, and in this there is great virtue and an immense reward. When is Laylatul-Qadr

Many Muslims restrict it to only one night, i.e. 27th Of Ramadan. Yes, that is more likely to be the night of Al-Qadr, but it is incorrect to single it out based on various evidences in hadeeth narrations… The Night of Al-Qadr is not specified to one fixed night each year. Rather, it constantly changes… Allaah has hidden knowledge of its occurrence from His servants out of mercy for them so that they can increase their actions in the search for it during these honorable nights, by praying, making dhikr and supplicating. So they grow and increase in the nearness to Allaah and His reward.
